ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVE

 

The Baton Rouge Apartment Association of Louisiana has an exciting opportunity for an Association Executive.  This is a FT position, based out of our Baton Rouge office.
 

The Baton Rouge Apartment Association (BRAA) is a large, non-profit trade organization representing various elements of the muti-family industry.  The Association Executive (AE) is the Principal paid staff person with the responsibility of the management of the office of the association.  The AE serves as chief executive officer, recommends and participates in the formulation of new policies and makes decisions within existing policies as they have been approved by the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.  Plans, organizes, directs and coordinates the staff, programs and activities of the Association to ensure that objectives are attained, plans fulfilled, and members needs met.  Maintains effective internal and external relationships.  Through management and leadership, achieves economical, productive performance, forward-looking programming and constructive growth of the association.
 

The ideal candidate will possess the below skills/experience:

• Innovative & inspiring leadership skills.

• Articulate, professional, extremely organized, efficient & self-driven.

• Experience in Association Management and/or the Apartment Industry.

• Advanced level of all Microsoft Office programs (WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

• Social media management and web administration.

• Financial preparation and reporting including budgeting, P&L oversight.

• Familiarity of Board positions and Bylaw operations.

• General data base knowledge & strong bookkeeping and record keeping skills.

• Event planning and registration experience.

• Acute understanding of business operations & liability management.

• Etc.
